Thresholds was incorporated in 1975 to assist individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities coming back into the community from large institutions. Over the years, Thresholds has grown in size and currently owns 15 group homes throughout the Grand Rapids area. Thresholds also serves individuals living on their own to develop increased daily living skills such as budgeting, grocery shopping and appropriate social interaction. Thresholds also serves individuals who live in their family home and provide respite care to their caregivers when they need a break.
