West Grand Neighborhood Organization (WGNO) empowers the West Side of Grand Rapids through public safety programs, community organizing, business engagement, workforce development, and neighborhood improvement. WGNO is leading the Stocking Neighborhood Hub initiative to repurpose the former Stocking Elementary into a neighborhood anchor with a teaching kitchen and workforce programs (bringing back Kitchen Sage), education and wellness services, green and recreation spaces, and small-business incubation. By co-locating partners and services, WGNO builds jobs, strengthens local businesses, and creates safer, more stable neighborhoods.
