Hope for Single Moms is a West Michigan–based nonprofit that serves as a workforce and economic mobility pipeline for local employers by preparing single mothers for stable, living-wage employment. Through career education, workforce readiness training, and wraparound supports, Hope for Single Moms helps motivated women overcome systemic barriers that often lead to absenteeism and turnover—such as childcare gaps, transportation challenges, and financial instability. Our newest initiative, the Hope Workforce Institute, provides short-term, employer-aligned training, paid work experience, and mentoring designed to improve employee retention and long-term success. We partner with local businesses to create pathways into reliable employment while strengthening families and the broader workforce. When mothers thrive, children thrive—and employers benefit from a more stable, prepared workforce.
