More great customer feedback! This was the email an employee sent to an HR leader today: "I didn’t really understand why [client name] added the new HealthBar services. I understand now. I have had a nasty cough since February. I have been to my doctor twice as I was afraid it was pneumonia or something worse. The x-rays showed I didn’t have cancer or COPD (Thank God) however I still had a cough that was disturbing to my family and Co-workers. My Co-worker would ask if I’m all right. Finally, he said, why don’t you go see our HealthBar clinician. I had run out of reasons not to. I got out of my chair, walked across the parking lot , not expecting much. These gifted ladies (HealthBar providers) went through everything within 15-20 minutes and gave me a shopping list. I went to Walgreens and got what they suggested. I was mostly cough free a bit later for the rest of the day. We believe that it is being caused by allergies which never really affect me before. I never knew I had these allergies but thanks to HealthBar, I can now treat this instead of coughing until I get lightheaded. This saved our time by not having to setup another appointment and having to take time from work to go back to the doctor. I can now see the value in [client name] adding HealthBar, and I am comforted knowing that they are available!" This is what impact can look like for any business. Often times our value comes in assisting an employee in better understanding how best to navigate their health plan or advocating for them. In this case, an employee who had been on the same medication for a number of years and employed by the same organization had no idea they they could get the same medication at a reduced out of pocket expense. Rather than sending them elsewhere or telling them what to do, our clinician took the time to explain it to them and then actually walk alongside them through the process to ensure it was done, accurate, and that everything was document so that the prescribing physician was also aware. Not only was this a great value for the employee, but it saved the organization significantly on the overall medication cost. Sometimes its the simple act of a high-touch, concierge driven customer service experience that helps to change someone's life. Other times its helping them manage a chronic disease...or all the in between. Whatever it may be for you and your employees, our team is here to support.
