Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Kent County brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Established in 1983, Habitat Kent has served more than 450 families in Kent County. People partner with Habitat Kent to build or improve their home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. We recently celebrated 500 Habitat Kent homeowners with a home dedication. The room was full of the homeowner's relatives and friends, Habitat Kent volunteers, supporters, and staff. Thank you to the many who have joined in community over our 40-year history to reach this milestone - we truly only got here because of the tremendous support from so many. 🙏 And most importantly, congratulations to the 500th homeowner! Shoutout to all of the volunteer groups who helped build this home: AECOM, Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, Axis Communications, Bank of America, Boston College, DIG - Digital Industry Group, Edward Jones, Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center, Gordon Food Service, Grand Valley State University Habitat Chapter and Psychology Department, Harmel Academy of the Trades, Hilti North America, Kent Career Tech Center, Meijer, St. Robert of Newminster Church, National Nail, and Trane. #HabitatKent500 #affordablehousing #community
